The network you already have, made searchable

MacroCircle maps, understands and activates trusted human networks. It turns the relationships scattered across LinkedIn, your contact lists and your memory into a living map you can ask questions of.

Vision

The people who can help you, whether that means a candidate, an investor, a domain expert or an introduction, are usually already in your network, or one person away. Finding them today depends on memory and on scrolling through contact lists. MacroCircle builds a structured understanding of who you know, what they know and how strong each relationship is, so you can ask in plain language: “Who in my network has experience with biotech fundraising?”

Each person on MacroCircle has an AI agent that holds a private understanding of their relationships, goals and boundaries. Agents can talk to other people’s agents to find valuable connections, but nothing happens without people: every introduction is approved by the humans involved.

The long-term goal is to become the infrastructure layer for trusted human collaboration: a network of interoperable agents, each representing one person, that together make knowledge-sharing, opportunity discovery and collective problem-solving work across the trust people already have.

Principles

Humans approve every introduction

Agents suggest; people decide. No introduction is made and no contact details are shared without explicit approval from the people involved.

Private by default

Your contacts are visible only to you. Nothing reaches a circle or another user unless you choose to share it.

Agents represent, they don’t expose

Your agent can describe your professional background and goals to other agents. It is instructed never to share contact information or anything inside the privacy boundaries you set.

Trust paths over cold outreach

MacroCircle looks for people who are already trusted by someone you know, because a warm introduction is worth more than a cold message.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set up your agent

A short setup, then a conversation with an AI interviewer (by text or voice) about your work, expertise, goals and boundaries. Your answers become your agent’s understanding of you.

  2. 2

    Bring your network

Import your LinkedIn connections export or a CSV, or add people by hand (Google contacts import is in private beta). AI enrichment summarizes each contact’s expertise and industry.

  3. 3

    Ask your network

Ask in plain language who can help with hiring, fundraising, partnerships or expertise. You get ranked matches from your own network.

  4. 4

    Connect through trusted paths

Reach out directly, or (coming soon) let your agent find mutually valuable connections and broker double opt-in introductions.

Features for individuals

Agent onboarding

Available

A quick setup (name, handle, role, company, location) followed by an AI interview that builds your profile and creates your personal agent.

  • Interview by text, voice messages, or a live real-time voice conversation
  • Captures expertise, goals, the people you want to meet, and what your agent must never share
  • The interview skips what you already entered in the quick setup

Contact import

Available

Bring your network in from the places it already lives.

  • LinkedIn connections export (CSV), keeping each person’s profile link so people with the same name stay separate
  • Re-importing a newer export updates job titles and companies instead of creating duplicates
  • CSV import and manual entry; contacts you deleted are not added back

Google Contacts import

Beta

Import your Google contacts plus the “Other contacts” Gmail keeps for people you’ve emailed, which is where most email addresses live (LinkedIn exports include few). Anyone already in your network is updated rather than duplicated, and a LinkedIn connection with no email gets one when the names match uniquely.

  • Read-only access to contacts only; MacroCircle never asks for access to your email messages
  • Contacts are read once and Google access is given up immediately afterwards
  • Private beta: open to invited testers while Google reviews the app; everyone can use LinkedIn or CSV import meanwhile

Your network at a glance

Available

See who you know by role (founders, investors, executives, recruiters, engineers and more), how many have an email address, and where they work, based on the titles and companies you imported. Click a group to ask your network about it.

Personal invite page

Available

Share macrocircle.com/join/your-handle from your own WhatsApp, LinkedIn or email. It shows who is inviting (your name, photo, role and a personal note) and how MacroCircle works.

  • Off until you turn it on, and hidden from search engines
  • Visitors can back your invitation with a one-line note, shown only after you approve it
  • See how many people visited and joined through your link

AI contact enrichment

Available

Adds expertise tags, an industry and a one-line role summary to each contact, so search works on what people know rather than only on job titles. It uses only a contact’s title, company and your notes (never names or emails), skips contacts with nothing to go on, and enriches a whole network in minutes.

Natural-language network search

Available

Ask questions such as “Who could introduce me to someone in renewable energy?” MacroCircle turns the question into structured criteria and returns ranked matches from your contacts, with relevance scores. Past queries are saved.

Agent-to-agent matching

In development

Your agent periodically talks with other users’ agents to find people with concrete mutual value, and recommends a connection only when both agents agree.

Warm introductions

In development

A double opt-in flow: you see a suggested connection and why, you request the introduction, the other person approves, and only then are contact details shared, with email notifications at each step.

Features for circles

A circle is a group of people who trust each other: a fund's partners, an alumni group, a founder dinner. Members can share a summary of their networks, so a question finds who among them knows the right person, and the introduction goes through them.

Circles and roles

Available

Create a circle, invite people by email, and manage owner, admin and member roles. Invitations are tied to the invited email address and expire after 7 days.

A link to share

Available

Every circle has a short link any member can send. Whoever opens it can ask to join with their email; an admin approves each request, which sends the usual invitation. Admins can turn the link off or replace it.

Share a summary of your network

Available

Each member decides, per circle, whether fellow members may see that they know someone with a given role at a given company. Names, emails and phone numbers never leave you, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Your circles in every answer

Available

When you ask your network a question, MacroCircle also searches what your circles share and shows those matches by role and company, with the member who knows each one.

Introductions through a circle

Available

Ask the member who knows someone for an introduction. They see your note and decide; only if they agree do you learn who it is and how to reach them.

Bulk invite

Available

Invite many people at once from a pasted list or CSV. Invalid and duplicate addresses are flagged before sending, and existing members or pending invitations are skipped.

Audit logs

Available

A record of circle activity, such as bulk invitations, filterable by action.

Custom branding

Available

Add your logo and brand colour. They appear in your circle's workspace and in the invitation emails sent to new members.

Privacy & security

Who can see what

Your contacts, queries and agent profile are visible only to you. If you share your network with a circle, its members see the roles and companies of people you know, never their names or contact details, and can ask you for an introduction. Contacts you spotlight by name in a circle are visible to its members. When agents talk, both people can read the conversation their agents had. Your invite page shows only what you put on it, and only when you turn it on.

Imports

Google import uses read-only contacts permissions, never your email messages; the contacts are read once and MacroCircle gives up the access right away, keeping only the merged contacts. LinkedIn and CSV files are processed into your private contact list.

AI processing

Onboarding, contact summaries, search and agents run on open AI models hosted by DeepInfra under zero-data-retention terms: nothing is stored or used for training. Only a contact's job title and company reach the models, never their name, email or phone. Voice onboarding uses OpenAI for speech, for your own answers only.

Infrastructure

MacroCircle runs on Google Cloud and Supabase (PostgreSQL). Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and data is encrypted at rest. Browsers cannot change data directly: every change goes through the MacroCircle API, which checks who you are and what you are allowed to do.

Operator access

Administrative access is limited to named staff, requires Google sign-in plus an authenticator-app code, and every administrative action is recorded in an append-only log.

Plans

MacroCircle is free while it grows: every feature, for every account and circle. See pricing.

FAQ

Does MacroCircle read my email?
No. The Google import asks only for read-only access to your contacts, including the list of people you’ve emailed that Gmail keeps automatically. It never asks for, or reads, your messages.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Anything a well-connected friend could help with: who has raised the kind of round you are raising, who has hired for a role, who knows a regulation, who lives in the city you are moving to. Answers come from the contacts you imported. The use cases page has more examples, grouped by goal.
Does my agent contact people on my behalf?
No. Agents talk to other agents, not to people. Anything that reaches a person (an introduction request, shared contact details) needs your approval, and the other person’s.
Can other users search my contacts?
Not your contacts themselves. If you choose to share your network with a circle, its members can find that you know, say, a CFO at a biotech company, and ask you for an introduction. They never see names or contact details unless you agree to introduce them.
What does my agent know about me?
What you tell it during onboarding: your role, expertise, goals, the kinds of people you want to meet, and the privacy boundaries it must respect.
Is MacroCircle for individuals or teams?
Both. Individuals get a personal agent and network search; circles let a group of people who trust each other find who among them knows the right person, with admin controls for larger groups.
